AD: NEW MENU SHOWCASES CHEF JOE’S PASSIONS

Newly appointed Karma Lake of Menteith Head Chef Joe Peden – who has familial links to the Trossachs area - has put together a mouth-watering new menu for the Spring and Summer season, showcasing the very finest ingredients.

Taking centre stage are a locally sourced 8 oz flank steak, (£19) served with sweet potato mash, charred tender stem broccoli, cherry tomatoes and a chimichurri sauce, together with a 21 day dry aged rib eye steak with triple cooked chips and all the sides (£44). For starter enjoy Cullen Skink, ham hock terrine or hot smoked fish cakes.

There’s also a choice of artisan burgers served with homemade chips and leaves. Choose from a beefburger, pulled pork burger, fried chicken buttermilk burger or the vegan burger.

For an affordable family treat on a Sunday Karma Lake of Menteith is offering its family style Sunday Roast Chicken at just £15pp, a roast chicken even better than the one you would make at home. Make sure you book your place for this one!

The lakeside hotel has recently employed its own in house pastry chef who is keeping the hotel well supplied with delicious homemade breads and pastries.

Said General Manager, Chris Diplock: “We are extremely lucky to have both Joe and our new pastry chef on board. Guests can savour their meals whilst looking out onto the tranquil waters of the Lake of Menteith, Scotland’s only natural Lake.”
