Abi shares some highlights from visits to Loch Turret, a scenic walk near Crieff that has lots to enjoy
There’s plenty to enjoy on this walk, located on the outskirts of Perth. Starting off by skirting round some fields, it soon opens out to a wide and usually dry path, which slopes gently upwards through woodland to the summit that has stunning views of Perth and the surrounding area
Nathan and Abi find Kinross and Loch Leven to be an ideal place for a winter wander, with an abundance of historic and natural interest, including of course, a view of Loch Leven Castle
Come with Nathan on a virtual trip to this beautiful loch, and enjoy photos taken with his vintage camera. In particular, the tones of blue look fabulous against the greens and rusty browns of the adjoining landscape
Abi highlights three of our favourite winter walks — an easy one for all mobility levels, a medium one still suitable for most, and a slightly more challenging one if you need a bit of a workout!
Nathan and Abi share their favourite autumn destinations, along with some stunning photos
We love an autumn woodland walk in Perthshire, it’s truly a magical time of year and this is one of the best ways to experience it. We’re also somewhat spoiled for choice, as there’s plenty of options available, but one of our absolute favourites is Den o’ Alyth.
Pitlochry is always busy with visitors at this time of year, but some may not realise that just up the hill there is a lovely little village called Moulin that’s also well worth visiting. Here's the ultimate guide
Nathan photographs this picturesque walk, while Abi explains what to look out for on your trip
When we were trying to think of a walk that would be at its best in late spring, a picture came to mind of a sapphire blue loch, fringed with vibrant green ferns and punctuated with the sound of birds calling. In other words — Loch Turret.
It’s the time of year when we all want to get out, feel the warmth of spring sunshine on our faces, let the soft breeze blow the winter cobwebs away, and rest our eyes on the fresh, zingy green of new leaves.
Woodland floors carpeted with lightly scented bluebells have to be one of the most wonderful sights in Scotland in May and June. In Perthshire, we think the best place to see them in all their glory is undoubtedly Kinclaven Bluebell Wood.
