Welcome To The perthshire magazine website
The Perthshire Magazine was set up in April 2018 by husband and wife team Nathan and Abigail Shepherd, who wanted to provide an accessible platform for local businesses, artists and creators, and at the same time showcase all the amazing things the area has to offer. They chose to publish a beautifully laid out editorial once a month on the ‘issuu’ platform. The magazine was an instant success, hitting its first monthly target of 3000 views within the first week. A year later, it receives 30,000 monthly views to the magazine alone, and tens more thousands on social media.
The information in The Perthshire Magazine is really useful for tourists who want to see the real Scotland, and is available anywhere in the world. Currently, it's read in 15 different countries. After the UK, the second biggest readership is in America. The magazine’s main audience (85%) is still local though, and it encourages local people to be a tourist just for a day and go somewhere they've never visited before. Lots say it’s helped them discover things in Perthshire they never knew existed.
The Perthshire Magazine highlights an incredibly diverse range of things in Perthshire. The team has worked with every type of business, from someone making honey in their kitchen to the five star Gleneagles Hotel. They work with a lot of PR companies to deliver a high standard of publicity and their reviews are so in demand that they have a waiting list! You can see comments from clients on the ‘Testimonials’ page.
Nathan, Abigail and the rest of the small team work hard to provide an extraordinarily high level of editorial features for a local magazine. They hope you like what they’ve come up with!
