This winter, discover in person the creativity, skill and originality of Perthshire’s thriving craft makers as 18 talented Perthshire Artisans come together for a special pop-up Craft Edit shop at the Make Room at 19 Princes Street in Perth.
The Make Room is delivered by UNESCO Perth City of Craft, the UK’s first and only UNESCO designated City of Craft and Folk Arts, and is designed as an opportunity to support local craft makers while exploring innovative uses for vacant shop units.
Open from 20 November 2026 until the end of January 2027, the Perthshire Artisans Craft Edit Pop Up offers a unique opportunity to explore and purchase locally made high-quality, original craft items. From thoughtful gifts to beautiful, distinctive pieces to treasure at home, visitors can discover the work of local makers and find something truly special for friends, family or themselves.
More than just a place to shop, the Craft Edit Pop Up celebrates the people and stories behind handmade craft. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Artisans when they are staffing the outlet, learn about their creative practices and gain a greater appreciation of the time, care and expertise that goes into each piece.
With the festive season approaching, the Craft Edit Pop Up is an invitation to make gifting more meaningful. Choosing handmade supports local talent, celebrates individual creativity and helps sustain the skills and traditions that make Perthshire’s craft sector so distinctive.
The creativity continues into the new year, with a series of craft workshops planned for January 2027. Supported by UNESCO Perth City of Craft, these sessions will offer a fun, accessible and affordable way to explore different crafts, guided by the knowledge and expertise of a Perthshire Artisan. Whether trying something new or developing an existing interest, participants can enjoy a hands-on introduction to the world of making.
This winter, visit Make Room at 19 Princes Street, Perth, meet the makers and celebrate the value of buying, learning and creating locally. Opening times from Friday 20 November until Sunday 20 December will be Tues/Wed : 9.30-1.30 and Fri/Sat/Sun : 12-4.
