A popular venue for all types of events, the Red House Hotel in Coupar Angus is continuing to host regular country music evenings organised by Coupar Angus Country Music Club (Cacmc).

Held every second Friday in the month, 8 pm to 11:30 pm, with just £8 payable on the door, the club brings together a whole series of country music acts who can then perform and secure local gigs across the area. With Carson City just having performed, next on the bill is Kenny Jnr, on May 8th.

“These fun and sociable nights are open to everyone who enjoys country music, with the exciting and varied schedule already planned out until the 4th of December so far,” said Alan Bannerman, owner of the Red House.

“It is our pleasure to continue to host the very talented acts that are part of the Coupar Angus Country Music Club,” he continued. “Some are completely new to us as a venue, and will be looking forward to being exposed to our country music loving customers from all over the area. Others already have a strong following. Overall, these live music events always prove very popular.”

Other acts due to appear soon are Blackstone River on June 12th, Gold Dust on August 14th, and Delta Smoke on Sept 11th.

A very special night is due to take place on July 10th at The Red House – the 35th Anniversary of Cacmc Coupar Angus, which will be celebrated with a special Dance Night. Top group, Cimmaron, who are very much Red House Hotel favourites – will be providing the music.

The Hotel has also been providing corporate hospitality for Coupar Angus JFC, along with having looked after seventeen people, all former pupils of Coupar Angus School, who got together to celebrate their 70th birthday year. The event was marked on facebook group, Coupar Angus Memories.
