AD | Race Along to the Red House Hotel to Support Charity Cycling Heroes
The Red House Hotel at Coupar Angus has announced that it's supporting the Specsavers Dundee Doddie'5 Cycle team, by hosting their Doddie's Derby Race Night fundraiser on Saturday 31st of January at 7 pm for 7:30 pm. Tickets are just £15 each (including stovies and tea/coffee).
The team, led by Captain Peter Grewar, will be taking part in Doddie’s Triple Crown cycle event on the 10th to 13th of March. It’s the latest cycling challenge for Peter who captained the team last year for the "Doddies Grand Tour" event, and in 2024 for "All Roads Lead to Rome" challenges. All tours were instigated by Rob Wainwright, the ex Scottish rugby player, and are run by My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. All proceeds go to fund vital research into MND.
“We are beyond pleased to have been chosen to host this fun race night for this very worthy cause,” said Alan Bannerman, owner of the Hotel.
“We are sure that the local Coupar Angus community, and beyond, will get behind this event, which will brighten up a January evening. Team captain, Peter Grewar, and his colleagues, are to be commended for their sterling efforts as we know that these cycle tours are very demanding.”
