AD | Ho Down To The Red House Hotel!
Cementing its place as a real centre of the community in Coupar Angus, The Red House Hotel has revealed a whole series of summer charity and entertainment events, including bingo and music performances.
It continues to host the Coupar Angus Country Music Club which holds music and dance events every second Friday in the month, 8 pm to 11:30 pm, with just £8 payable on the door. Under its umbrella, the club brings together a whole series of country music acts who can then perform and secure local gigs across the area.
Coming up on August 8th is popular country act, Gold Dust. These nights are open to everyone who enjoys country music, with the exciting and varied schedule already planned out until the 5th of December so far. Other acts due to appear are RosemIll Kix, Amarillo, Texas Gun, and James N Wood.
“It is our pleasure to continue to host the very talented acts that are part of the Coupar Angus Country Music Club,” said hotel owner, Alan Bannerman. “Some are completely new to us as a venue, and will be looking forward to being exposed to our country music loving customers from all over the area. Others already have a strong following. Overall, these live music events are proving very popular.”
Alan went on to say that the Hotel had also enjoyed helping Blairgowrie & Rattray 2013’s football club raise over £5000 through a series of three Bingo Teas, with the funds going towards a trip to compete in a tournament in Barcelona in October 24, and most recently, to buy training wear and equipment.
“With prizes, home baking and our refreshments on hand, the Bingo Teas have been another welcome addition to our schedule of community events, ensuring we continue to support local whenever we can,” said Alan. “Football clubs like Blairgowrie & Rattray 2013’s rely on fund raising so much, with strips and equipment to replace every year. We look forward to them arranging more Bingo Teas with us after the summer.”
