June brings a packed programme of creative events and exhibitions, celebrating the work of Perthshire Artisans members across Scotland.
Ceramicist Ceri White will be exhibiting at Potfest Scotland, returning to the spectacular grounds of Scone Palace from 12 to14 June. Celebrating it’s 30th year and one of the UK’s leading ceramics festivals, Potfest brings together around 90 studio potters and ceramic artists beneath marquees on the palace lawns, attracting collectors and visitors from across the UK. Ceri’s distinctive contemporary ceramics will be among the highlights of this much-loved celebration of clay and craftsmanship.

Meanwhile, illustrator and artist Jon Bishop, also known as The Grey Earl, presents his first solo exhibition, Teenage Flicks, at Made in Stirling from 6 June to 26 July. Inspired by cult cinema, coming of age favourites and iconic film moments, the exhibition features original drawings, prints and 3D works exploring the movies that have inspired and influences Jon’s work. He says “It’s been a real joy to revisit the films and TV shows I’ve loved over the years and, hopefully, add something new to them through this collection. A way to celebrate the characters and stories that have stayed with me.”

Alongside the artwork, visitors can also enjoy a programme of film screenings and artist talks throughout the exhibition run.
In Aberfeldy, landscape painter Cathy Wagstaff unveils her first solo exhibition, Changing Light, at Artisan& Gallery from 13 June to 21 July. Known for her atmospheric mixed-media landscapes inspired by Highland Perthshire and Scotland’s ever-changing skies, Cathy’s new collection has been inspired by the special quality of the light between October and March in Scotland and the glow sitting low in the skies. Cathy says “My aim is to convey how essential the beauty of the natural world is to the soul and for my landscapes to bring a sense of wonder and serenity into your home”.
