A new summer menu is now available at The Dalmore Inn in Blairgowrie. All the Dalmore favourites are still on the menu, such as traditional fish and chips, the Highlander beef burger, and the ever popular macaroni cheese, but as it's summer, the hidden gem eatery has taken the opportunity to shake things up a bit, and make it all as seasonal as possible.
New on the menu is a delicious garlic king prawn bruschetta for starter, with basil pesto & a balsamic reduction. Also set to tempt the tastebuds is a slow braised steak and thyme pie with seasonal vegetables, caramelised onion mash and chips, or tuck into a butternut squash and sage arancini! This is a flavour packed vegetarian dish, served with yellow pepper coulis and a Parmesan tuile.
For light summer dishes, there’s chicken caesar salad, or melt in the mouth sea bream fillets “nicoise” style, with saffron potato, fine beans, confit cherry tomatoes, egg, olives, and anchovies.
The Dalmore also has some new desserts including pineapple upside down sundae with coconut ice cream, cherry sorbet, caramelised pineapple, Chantilly cream, vanilla sponge, rum syrup and a wafer, together with a tablet parfait with shortbread crumb and a refreshing raspberry sorbet. White chocolate and pistachio cheesecake is another indulgent choice to enjoy.
“We are always excited to unveil a new menu here at The Dalmore Inn, where we are all about affordable excellence, that’s something that is really at the heart of all we do. There's a price point for everybody here, with our two course lunch menu at £20.95, served from 12 noon to 4 pm, or you can opt for our Dalmore Menu which has two courses at £28.95 or three courses at £34.95, choosing from a wide selection of dishes,” said Manager, Arnaud Merrouche.
